Empire will Return and Guess What???

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

As I’ve been browsing social media sites, I noticed a lot of my friends talking about a new show called ” Empire” which was recently aired on the network FOX. So, I will try my best to summarize season 1 so that may be you all can start watching the show and get into it. So quick review, the show is about a Man Luscious who is the CEO of the company Empire which is a music label company. Luscious finds out that he has ALS so he put his three sons which are Hakeem, Andre, and Jamal against one another to see which one of them would be the best fit for successfully leading the company. He’s ex wife cookie appears when she has been released out of prison. Luscious has moved on with his life by finding a younger woman which goes by the name Anika. Anika helps Luscious with the company.

Throughout the show, Hakeem is the youngest and he is a rapper. He is angry with his mother because she missed him growing up. Hakeem dates an older woman that goes by the name Camilia which reminds him of a mother figure he never received. Hakeem is really talented and has major rapping skills. He thinks that he is prepared to own the company but in reality he has plenty of learning and maturing to do. Jamal on the other hand is a singer. He has a beautiful falsetto. Jamal is dealing with being accepted as a homosexual from his father. But, his father is tradition based and strongly opposes homosexuality. Jamal’s mother is all for and supports him 100 percent she even took the advantage of managing his music to make him a star. Andre is the oldest son and he is the book smart one. He knows a lot with dealing with the IPO’s of the company. However, he too is battling a personality disorder where is looking for is father to accept who he is. Andre really believes that he should be the CEO of the company because he feel as if he has contributed the most in order for the company to go public.

In the season finale, things turn upside down. Luscious finds out that he has been misdiagnosed and that he does not have ALS which means that he will not be dying sooner than he think. Andre has decided to try and leave the company to deal with his sickness and to find himself. Hakeem is disappointed with his father for impregnanting a women to force Jamal to be a father. So Hakeem, retaliates and have sex with Anika. So, I will stop here, It would not make sense to give you all the Tea then you all would not be interested in watching. So stay tuned and watch all the episodes thank you!! Also, Good News!! Empire will have a Season 2 so stay tuned for that too in Fall!!!

It’s Been Frank The Hit Man

Hello Classmates,

After being extremely busy trying to keep up with assignments from this ENC 1102 course, I have finally found the time to catch up with “How to Get Away with Murder” .  In fact, the episodes I decided to watch was not an hour. I got the chance to watch the full two hour season finale. What I am going to explain are just the highlights of the show. It would literally take me three days of blogging to go into details. This should just encourage you to watch the two hour season finale. 

At the beginning of the show, begins with Annalise Keating going to court for a priest that killed another priest. The murderer claimed that he killed the other priest because the priest molested a little boy. Annalise finds out that there’s one person that can change his mind from changing the plea. A woman in the church who he share serious feelings for. The woman testify on his behalf by giving an alibi that the night that the man was killed that her and the defendant was being intimate. The priest interrupts her and takes the plea for 1st degree murder. As Annalise is busy with this case, her six interns are coming up with speculations against Rebecca who they think actually killed Lila. The interns holds Rebecca as hostage and ties her up so that she cannot turn them into police since they all handled the remains of Sam.  

While Annalise interns are busy bringing up speculations about Rebecca being the murderer of Lila, Annalise is working simultaneously by dealing with a case and trying her best to get her boyfriend Nate as he has been a suspect for her husband’s death. Annalise arranges for a group of men to brutally beat him. Perhaps, the judge may set a bond for Nate so that she can help him for going down for the death of her husband. The judge denies the plea to set a bond for Nate so Frank made some arrangements so that the judge was forced to resign. 

Now, in this show there are a lot of flashbacks which displays the events that leads to Lila’s death. There was a flashback where Rebecca had sex with Griffin to get back at Lila. Lila walks in on them and she is angry with both Griffin and Rebecca. Lila meets with Sam which is Annalise husband and he manifests his love for and the baby in which he does not want neither (Lila nor the baby). After Sam leaves Lila alive on the roof,you would not believe who comes after to strangle Lila to death and throws her in the water tank?? It was Frank one of Annalise associates. At the end, everyone thinks that Rebecca has been set free but in reality she is dead in the basement because Frank handled her as one of the interns assumed he should. Frank is truly a hit man.

At The End Of The Day All You Have Is Yourself-The Return of Olivia

Hello ladies and gents,

So, last week I watched the recent episode of Scandal and it is true this show is truly a “Scandal”. Scandal opened its show with the sellers of the auction meeting up with the highest bidder. Olivia has a gift to flip situations around. It pays to know multiple languages. So, the highest bidder who was to buy Olivia spoke a different language and guess who was proficient at this language?? Oliviaaa!!..ding ding ding!! Olivia lied and told the highest bidder that the people was planning to take the money and kill the woman. The woman calls her boss to explain the chaos and they call the deal off. Olivia mixed the story up between two dealers and the auction is back on for the highest bidder.

They are back on for the highest bidder and the Gladiators are working to be the highest bidder as Marie Wallace which is Olivia’s mother terrorist name. The only way someone could get an invite in the auction is if they are the biggest terrorist or gangs of all time. At the end of the auction, Marie Wallace and someone from Russia are tied up and the kidnappers asks Olivia for some input. Since Olivia knows her mother terrorist name she decides to go with Marie Wallace and the kidnappers goes with the opposite decision. And now….Olivia is sold to some Russians.

The White House on the other hand, are plotting to so call neutralize the acid by assassinating Olivia Pope during the transaction with the highest bidder. That way, if they kill Olivia Pope the U.S. is not at risk to be controlled by other countries. However, the President is not aware that the entire White House is plotting against him. All that the President know is that they will go with his initial plans which is to save Olivia. At the end of the episode, the highest bidder turns out to be a long lost friend that Olivia saved years ago so he decides to save her by buying her for 2 billion dollars. At the end of the episode, Olivia noticed that at end of the day she all she really have is her self.

The moral of this episode is that don’t matter how many are willing to assist you must be in the position to assist yourself because humans tends to fail one another.

Olivia Pope Mind Games -Real Role Model for Black Women

Hello Peeps!!

I am so excited because there have been about three to four episodes that have came out and now it is time to follow up. So yes, it is true that they did kidnapped Olivia Pope. But you would have never believe who decided to take her. Let me spill the beans to you. Come to find the Vice President who President Fitz supposedly trusted has became a traitor to the White House and have decided to kidnapped Olivia Pope for a ransom not any diminutive ransom either. It is quite interesting because when Fitz chose the Vice President Olivia didn’t think that was a good idea. So, back to the Vice President foul deeds. The Vice President decided to kidnapped Olivia to force the President to go to war with West Angola which is a third-world country. Attacking, this country was not in the original plan of the President.

Now that they have Olivia in custody, they promise to keep Olivia sound and safe only if the President accept the orders to demand war. The President and his team has caught on to the Vice President betrayal scheme and tries to force him to resign for his position due to illness. The Vice President refuses to accept the resignation that has been provided to him and threatens the First Lady that the only way he would go along with the resignation is when decided to reveal the affair he has been having  with the First Lady. The First Lady becomes concerned with her reputation. The First Lady believe that men would be forgiven any day but a women reputation would be ruined for a lifetime.

On the other hand, Olivia Pope is somewhere on the other side of the country attempting to save herself by utilizing her skills in which she used to fix people. Olivia has now killed one guard and put another guard unconscious. Olivia pope has decided to have an ultimatum. The ultimatum is that she put herself on sale on an auction and the Olivia will be sold to the highest bidder. The guard that Olivia puts unconscious kills the leader and takes over. This is when things get real.

I admire all nationalities of women but an Black women in a leadership role puts the cherry on top of a freshly bought milk shake from Steak-N-Shake!

Who’s Actually Getting Away with Murder the Offenders or the defending attorney is it both?

There is a new sitcom that has been aired on ABC called “How to Get Away with Murder”. What makes this show so unique is the suspense because typically you usually watch shows that are protecting the victim but instead in this show the main focus of this attorney is to prove the offender not guilty. The attorney also teaches a few Law courses. One of the courses she teaches is call “How to get Away with Murder”. In this course, the attorney basically presents her cases to her students to try to see new ideas of solving the case. The attorney also presents past cases.

At the beginning of the course, the professor chose five students to intern with her for her upcoming cases. Each of the students have distinctive attributes that can help the attorney to win her cases. The theory of the matter is that the offenders kills their suspect and their suspect is dead is no longer suffering so why should the offender suffer if they have a whole life ahead of them. I know what what you’re thinking, Where are the morals?? Right.

Eventually, throughout the episodes a dilemma occurs where the attorney decides to pick up an case of a student who is dead. The interesting part is that without a doubt the attorney’s husband is involved in the case and could be pointed out as an potential suspect. The attorney (wife) finds out that he is involved and she pushes outside sources to find more information about her husbands where about the night of the murder. Come to find out his where about matches the location of where the dead girl has been prior to her death. The attorney source lies and says he finds nothing and eventually the wife puts two and two together and come to realization that her husband was having an affair with the dead girl.

The attorney confronts the husband and the husband deny, deny, deny, The dead phone is held by a close friend where they tried to pin the murder case on her. The phone has evidence revealing pictures of the suspect. The husband tries to hurt the close friend and they accidentally kill the husband. The five interns witnessed the action and they all working together by putting their skills to use while working with the attorney to cover the tracks of the killing of her husband. The wife is aware of what happened and feels satisfied about the situation but only one intern knows she knows while all the others stay blind. Since she know, will she protect her interns or will she go against her interns. Will she get away with the murder of husband?? New episode will reveal everything.

Where Did Olivia Go? Who Kidnapped Olivia?-Scandal

Scandal is a very popular TV Show. The show Scandal is a drama show that premiers on the network ABC. For the people that are not familiar with Scandal to summarize Scandal is a Scandal within itself. But nevertheless I enjoy watching this show. In summary, Scandal is a drama that centers around a manager (Olivia Pope) who works with her staff. Each and one her staff have their dysfunctions that has occur in their life where Olivia Pope have saved them from their crisis so that they may live a normal life. While working for Olivia Pope, these staff members are not living normal lives due to the fact they have to solve murder cases or save politicians from shame in society because of there careless behaviors. Olivia Pope was once a professional media relations for the President (Fitz Grant). In this role, Olivia protected the reputation of the President organized campaigns for the funding of his presidency.

Olivia father is command of one of the nations secret organization B613. In this organization, Olivia’s father (Rowan) command his recruits to kill, and torture people for valuable information. Olivia have been told all her life that her mother is deceased until her mother breaks out from her father where he kept her in the hole. Come to find out a couple episodes later Olivia’s mother is one the most dangerous terrorist in the United States. Olivia grew up in a household she thought that was normal household until she is an adult she realizes that her family dysfunctional and corrupt with secrets and lies. Olivia Pope is in a love triangle between the President and one of the former agent of B613. The dilemma sets in when the President has a family of his own not only is he the president he also have to uphold the elites modern lifestyle which is remaining faithful to his wife and tend to his children. Jake on the other hand believes that the president has more power over him because he believes that in the end Olivia will eventually choose Fitz.

In the latest episode, Olivia and the love triangle has decided to put their differences aside to take down the most discrete organization which is B613 after discovering the conspiracy that Rowan set up the death of the Presidents son. Olivia plans to kill her her father before he sends someone to kill her. In the winter finale, while Olivia is having a good time with Jake she disappears in the midst of her own home. Who could have kidnapped Olivia. In my opinion, I believe that the people who are campaigning against the President took Olivia so that the President could take the nation to war. Or, it could possibly be Olivia’s father to protect her because he knows that they are out to get her. This rational is impossible because after the father find out that his father turned against him he washed his hands and promise to let her go forever and to no longer protect her. Could I be right?? Who I am and Why I’m Here

Why am I’m here?? Well, I am here on this blog site to complete a mission. The mission is to successfully complete this English course with the passing grade of an “A”. In order to attain this goal, I am required to blog every week until the end of the semester. So, this should explain why I am blogging publicly instead of keeping a personal journal. I must mention that I am excited to begin blogging because this opens up opportunities for me to share ideas with my peers. By blogging, I hope to receive different perspectives from peers about current issues that is rapidly traveling on social media.  Also, I think that keeping a personal journal is cliche and old fashion. If I kept a personal journal all my life, then my voice and creativity will never be heard. The action of blogging has a plenty of perks for me such as keeping up with social media, remaining computer literate, and most importantly sharing my ideas and willingly agreeing or disagreeing with opposing views. Blogging will stimulate my deep thoughts.

To get know me a little better, I am a versatile person because there are a combination of things that attract my interest.  The combination of things includes TV shows, poetry, dogs, how different cars engine operates. Hopefully,I plan to spice up my blog page with different things to give it some life.  As far as the topics, I plan to definitely blog about popular TV shows such as Scandal and How to get away with murder which will return live on January 29, 2015. Being that I am African American, I will honor Black History  month since Black History month begins in February by researching powerful poetry or YouTube videos and pictures where I can dissect the messages in each of them. This will be something fun that could possibly keep my classmates entertained and to think critically about things we see everyday on social media. I love to connect with everyone including authors or celebrities that shares the same interest as me or even if they oppose my views I would like to see a justifiable counterargument that could be valid to give different things consideration when expressing my opinions. If I would to blog successfully throughout the next year, I hope to bring new ideas to the table, new interests, allow my peers to interactively think critically by avoiding mundane topics which usually occur in a literature courses. As I have stated in the beginning of this Day 1 blog and I will end with the same note, I plan on spicing this blog site with entertainment, black history, and things that people do on a daily basis.
